Eddy Jay- musician in Brief Encounter at Haymarket, West End

Eddy Jay, http://www.edwardjay.co.uk Matthew’s older brother, is one of the musicians in the Kneehigh Theatre Production ’Brief Encounter’ playing to packed houses at the Haymarket Theatre, London’s West End. Do go and enjoy this play and the excellent music,which has had rave reviews if you can get tickets before it has to finish this Sunday before going on tour. Here is the latest exciting news about the Matthew Jay Tribute Concert – it is is really happening!! Shepherds Bush Empire, London, on Friday 10th October 08, we will celebrate Matthew Jay’s life on the anniversary of his 30th birthday!!
Tickets are available from tomorrow (Friday 22nd August) at Shepherds Bush Box Office – It will be a brilliant night with 9 bands/artists including Chris Difford (Squeeze), James Walsh (Starsailor) The Kathryn Williams Band, Helen Boulding (red dress – BBC 2 record of week), The Matthew Jay Tribute Band (band who finished Further Than Tomorrow), Dlugokecki, Passenger and Flamboyant Bella (all have Myspace sites).

NEW MATTHEW JAY SINGLE ’OUR TIME’ available on Monday 19th May 08 from the Shop

OUR TIME is an early recording by Matthew Jay made in 2000. The song was written around 1996 when Matthew was 18 yrs. It was intended to be a possible single to be released before the debut album DRAW but was replaced by ’You’re Always Going Too Soon’. This recording was very kindly gifted to Matthew’s family by EMI Records.
